The Challenge
The manufacturer faced persistent issues with its high evaporation rate led to increased fluid consumption and maintenance, while rust formation raised concerns about part protection and long-term reliability. Additionally, coolant marks on finished components affected surface aesthetics and required extra post-processing to meet quality standards.

MotulTech recommended SAFCO STABILIS 793, an emulsifying premium-quality cutting fluid, blended from highly refined mineral oil and fortified with anti-rust and biocide additives, SAFCO STABILIS 793 forms a highly stable milky emulsion even in water with hardness up to 400 ppm. It offers excellent rust protection, reduced evaporation, and cleaner part finishes. Additionally, it contains no nitrites or chlorine, making it a safer, more environmentally friendly option.
The Outcome
No more rust and corrosion on components, ensuring higher product quality and minimising rework. Coolant marks on finished parts were also eliminated, improving the final product appearance. Altogether, these enhancements delivered an annual cost saving of $6,500 USD for the customer.
